Agriculture is one of the main livelihood sources of Maharashtra, but the small and marginal farmers are not able to get the desired output in terms of agriculture production. This happens because they lack knowledge of the latest agriculture techniques and practices. As agriculture is the major source of livelihood lack of production is causing a great hindrance in food security and improving the income level of farmers. Thus, there is an urgent need to work on this crucial issue of importance. Abhinav Bharat Samaj Seva Mandal (ABSSM) will organize 6 agriculture training camps (1 camp each in the village in Alsunde, Warkute, Salse, Nerale, Sade and Phisare of Karmala block in Solapur district in Maharashtra of 1 day duration each) for 300 small and marginal farmers. The training will help in improving the knowledge of farmers on soil treatment, seeds and fertilizers, irrigation system and weed management. It will help in improving the food security and income level of farmers of the target villages in the longer run. Number of beneficiaries - 300 Honorarium and travel of resource persons (2) @ Rs. 5,500 x 2 people x 6 camps – Rs. 66,000 Training materials like stationary, charts, posters etc. - Rs. 16,500 Refreshment @ Rs. 25 x 300 farmers – Rs. 7,500 Total Cost – Rs. 90,000 Cost per farmer – Rs. 300 Cost for 20 farmers – Rs. 6,000 ABSSM and local community will arrange for venue cost.
